Photo Critique 10-23-09
This photo has used depth of field and color very well. It has a high aperture, because the closer images are in focus while the backround is out of focus. The use of Tea seems to be giving a sense of serenity and with the soldier, a feeling of strength or humility. Rule of thirds was also included in this photo to add more viewer focus on the main subject.
This picture draws it main attention to the fire in the street. It uses intising forms of color and shows a feeling of urgency. Depth of field was used in this, but focused on the Fire, firstly and the officer secondly. The aperture the photographer used seems to be a low one in order to capture more far away items. The photographer framed this in a way to tell that there is obviously tention or conflict going on between people.Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Photo Critique 10/16/09
I picked this photo because I noticed that the light and shape was captured in a very interesting way. They put an all white scenery with some shadows and made a color splash with the construction worker, but also adding onto the feeling of being overwhelmed and insignificant or maybe issolation. The depth of field in this picture is more focused on the closer scenery and more out of focus farther back into the tunnel. Even though it seems depth of field was used a lot in this photo and for the amount that it was used, then it was mostlikely a high number.Thursday, October 15, 2009

Shutter Critique
Shutter Speed: FastThis picture is for sure fast shutter speed because the water from the water fall was clearly captured in sharp detail which can only be done on fast shutter.
This picture is for sure slow speed shutter because the photographer has captured the trail of the cars on the freeway which can only be done with a slow shutter.
