Stillness and Motion Critique

This picture has a still woman standing in front of a moving subway train. They used slow shutter speed and high ISO.

This picture has two bikers in motion and the rest is blurry. They used a black and white lens with slow shutter speed.

In this photo, The stream's motion and motion path has been stopped and the surrounding woods are still. They probably used a slow shutter speed to capture, not only the motion of the stream, but more light. The reason for this would be because it seems as if it's overcasty outside.
